TIME has just introduced its fastest fibre broadband offering yet with 1Gbps. That’s double the speed that’s offered previously and it’s 10X faster than what Maxis and TM are offering to new subscribers. On top of that, they are also offering the most affordable 100Mbps plan in the country.
TIME has revamped its entire home fibre broadband plans with lower pricing and faster speeds. For those looking to spend less, TIME’s 100Mbps plan is now going for only RM99/month and it is available exclusively available online. Moving up a notch is their 500Mbps plan at RM139/month, which is about 54% cheaper than before. Their fastest 1Gbps offering can be yours at RM199/month which is very affordable in terms of cost per bandwidth.
The plans come with 24-months contract and TIME is giving a RM100 rebate on your first bill if you sign up online. There’s also a shorter a 12-month contract option but you are required to pay a one-time charge of RM300 and you won’t be eligible to any additional promotion or discount.
In terms of speed, the 100Mbps and 500Mbps plans are symmetrical which means that you get the same upload speed as downloads (e.g. 100Mbps download + 100Mbps upload). However, for the 1Gbps plan, you’re getting half the upload speed at 500Mbps. As usual, all plans come with unlimited quota.
By default, all plans come with TIME Voice Home Basic where your voice calls are charged at 10sen/minute (fixed and mobile) on a pay per use basis. You can add on RM2.50/month for Voice Home Lite which gives you 30 minutes of free calls each month or RM10/month for Voice Home Max which comes with 300 minutes allocation. The add-on plans come with 1 free DECT Phone and it’s also tied with a 24-month contract.

For existing users that sign up before 7 October, you will be automatically upgraded to the new faster speeds for free. According to TIME’s FAQ, you’ll enjoy the new speed at the new lower retail price or at the same subscription fee, whichever is lower. Another good news is that there will be no extension to your contract.
100Mbps customers will be upgraded to 500Mbps, while current 300Mbps and 500Mbps customers are getting bumped up to 1Gbps for free. The new plan rate will be reflected in your bill starting 15 October 2018.
If you’re an Astro IPTV subscriber, unfortunately there’s no speed upgrade right now and TIME says they are still working with their partners to introduce better plans. There’s also no speed upgrade for TIME business users at the moment and they are still charging RM188/month for 20Mbps, RM338/month for 50Mbps and RM398/month for 100Mbps. As a comparison, Maxis is offering business users 30Mbps Fibre Broadband at RM99/month while the 100Mbps option costs only RM139/month.
