UPDATE: TIME’s 1Gbps plan is now official.
When it comes to cheaper fibre broadband plans, almost every player in Malaysia had responded except for TIME. According to their Facebook page, something is about to happen tomorrow and they have posted a new image that says “Good things come to those who wait.” While that sounds like they are giving away free pints of Guinness, it looks like TIME is finally introducing their new broadband offering that could deliver even faster speeds for less.
UPDATE: Existing TIME customers are automatically upgraded to faster speeds without any changes to their contract. 100Mbps gets 500Mbps while 300Mbps and 500Mbps customers will get upgraded to 1Gbps.
There’s never been a more exciting time for fibre broadband in Malaysia. Two months ago, TM had announced their Unifi Turbo upgrade plans with speeds of up to 800Mbps, while Maxis and Celcom had also slashed prices for their fibre home broadband offering.
Now it appears that TIME has finally responded to TM by offering speed upgrades of their own. You can get a 1Gbps Fibre Broadband plan for less than RM300/month.

While TM Unifi and Maxis are battling each other with their 100Mbps Fibre Broadband Plan at RM129/month, TIME is currently running a promotion in conjunction with the #MYCYBERSALE 2018. You can also get a 100Mbps Fibre Broadband with unlimited quota at only RM129/month from TIME but you’ll have to use a special promo code that’s valid for a limited time.
Yesterday, TM had announced several good news for its Unifi fibre broadband product. Apart from introducing their entry-level 30Mbps broadband plan, they have also announced their biggest speed upgrade yet with speeds of up to 800Mbps.
Rival TIME broadband has always been a leader when it comes to raw broadband speeds and they are doing it at very competitive prices. With the latest development, TM has shaken things up by not only having the most affordable 100Mbps plan but they are also the first mainstream broadband provider to break the 500Mbps speed barrier.
After the announcement, TIME had taken the opportunity to congratulate TM for taking a great leap in bringing Malaysia up to speed. They have also hinted that something is coming up very soon.
