Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9+ were released 2 months ago in Malaysia, with 3 colours, the Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple. Samsung even offers variants with storage options of up to 256GB for the Galaxy S9+ which is a first for a Samsung flagship smartphone in Malaysia.

And today, Samsung has introduced 2 new colours to be added in the Galaxy S9 line up.

The 2 new colours are Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red, and both options are available for both the Galaxy S9 and S9+. According to Samsung, the Sunrise Gold edition is the first Samsung device to come with a satin gloss finish. Meanwhile, the Burgundy Red edition comes with a deep red paint job that comes with a restrained gloss for added density.

Here’s Sunrise Gold on the Galaxy S9:

And Burgundy Red on Galaxy S9+:

The Burgundy Red edition will be available in Korea and China starting in May. Whereas the Sunrise Gold will be available starting in June in select markets including Australia, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam, with additional market availability coming soon.

We are still unsure when will these 2 new colour variants be arriving in Malaysia, but we will keep an eye on it and let keep everyone posted.

The price of Samsung Galaxy S9 starts from RM3,299 while the S9+ is priced from RM3,799 for the 64GB model. If you’re looking for more storage, the Galaxy S9+ with 128GB is priced at RM3,999 and 256GB is going for RM4,399.

With a total of 5 different colours to choose from, which would you prefer? The original trio or the newly added Sunrise Gold and Burgandy Red? Share your thoughts with us.
