EMUI 9.0 is Huawei’s latest firmware and made its debut with the Mate 20 series that was launched in October this year. The firmware is designed to optimise the underlying operation commands more rapidly and efficiently with the use AI prediction technology.

A new feature in EMUI 9.0 is GPU Turbo 2.0 which boosts device performance depending on the processes and load required, especially during gaming. Huawei claims GPU Turbo 2.0 can improve game fluency and lowers touch-response delays by an average of 36%.

Performance is further enhanced with advanced temperature control that decreases screen hot-spots by up to 3.6°C.
