Unifi 100Mbps subscription fee

For new subscribers, TM is offering its Unifi Lite Plan with 100Mbps at RM129/month. However, it was reported that TM has recently updated their FAQ to indicate that the RM129/month pricing is only valid for the first 24 months.

According to the FAQ, unifi 100Mbps customers will have to pay RM159/month instead of RM129/month after the 24th month. Those on unifi Basic 30Mbps will continue to pay the same RM79/month subscription after the 24 month period.

We’ve reached out to TM on this change and here’s their response:

On the concerns raised on our unifi 100Mbps plan, TM would like to clarify that the monthly charges remain the same at RM129 post the 24-month contract. We apologise for the confusion caused and we are updating the information published on our website as soon as we can.

So if you’re on the Unifi 100Mbps plan, you don’t have to worry about paying RM30 more after your contract is up. The subscription will still remain RM129/month. We’ve also contacted TM’s Live Chat and they have also confirmed that the subscription rate will remain the same.

To recap, the Unifi 100Mbps plan offers 100Mbps downloads and 50Mbps uploads with unlimited quota. It comes bundled with 600 minutes of calls to all mobile and fixed line numbers, however subsequent calls to all TM fixed lines are still free. The plan does not come with an IPTV set-top-box, but they are bundling a Unifi TV pack for free which you can watch via your smartphone or tablet.

You can learn more about Unifi’s current broadband offering here.

UPDATE: TM has also tweeted to clarify on the FAQ issue.

On the concerns raised on our @unifi 100Mbps plan, TM would like to clarify that the monthly charges remain the same at RM129 post the 24-month contract. We apologise for the confusion caused and we are updating the information published on our website as soon as we can.

UPDATE 2: The Unifi FAQ has been updated. They have removed the Q&A on subscription fee after 24-months.
