After introducing their latest Mi Pad 4, Xiaomi has just added a larger full-sized tablet into its lineup. The 10.1″ tablet is called the Mi Pad 4 Plus and apart from the size, it also comes with a bigger battery plus larger storage options.
As a comparison, the smaller Mi Pad 4 gets an 8.0″ 16:10 screen that pushes a Full HD resolution and the new Mi Pad 4 Plus features a larger 10.1″ 16:10 screen that also pushes the same 1920×1200 resolution. The contrast levels are slightly lower at 1000:1 (Mi Pad 4: 1200:1) and obviously, the pixel density is also lower at 224 PPI (pixels per inch).
Under the hood, it runs on the same powerful mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB of RAM. The Mi Pad 4 Plus comes with a minimum of 64GB storage for its base model, and it’s also available with a larger 128GB storage option.
The Mi Pad 4 Plus also gets the same 13MP f/2.0 main camera and a front facing 5MP f/2.0 shooter which supports face unlock. Another addition is a fingerprint sensor that’s placed right underneath the display.
Powering the larger screen is an 8,620mAh battery which is rated to last up to 16 hours of video playback. Out of the box, Xiaomi is still bundling a standard 5V 2A charging brick and it charges via USB-C. Like the smaller Mi Pad 4, it’s available in either Black or Pink Gold.
The Mi Pad 4 Plus comes with LTE and GPS support as standard. It also supports 802.11 ac 5GHz WiFi with 2×2 MIMO as well as Bluetooth 5.0. In China, the Mi Pad 4 Plus is priced at 1,899CNY (about RM1,126) for the 64GB model and 2,099CNY (about RM1,245) for the 128GB version.
