Samsung Galaxy Note FE Malaysia availability

This is it. The Samsung Galaxy Note FE or better known as the Fan Edition is officially coming to Malaysia. This marks the return of the Galaxy Note7 with a safer battery. If you’re looking for an affordable alternative to the RM3,999 Galaxy Note8, this is a device worth considering.

In an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, Samsung had worked closely with dedicated specialists to reuse and recycle unused components from the Galaxy Note7 to produce this new Fan Edition. The 3,200mAh battery on the Galaxy FE is all new and it passes Samsung’s rigorous 8-point safety check and design process. As a comparison, the original Note7 had a larger 3,500mAh battery.

To refresh your memory, the Galaxy Note FE is similar to the Galaxy Note7. It has a 5.7″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display with dual curved edges and it runs on an Exynos 8890 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. At the rear, it gets a 12MP f/1.7 main camera and a 5MP selfie shooter at the front. The Note FE also lets you unlock your phone using your Iris or via a fingerprint sensor on its home button.

As expected from a Note series, it comes with an S Pen which has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity like the Note8. The Note FE also has IP68 dust/water resistance, wireless charging and adaptive fast charging via USB Type C. Out of the box, it runs on their current Android 7.1.1 Nougat. There’s also Bixby home and reminders but you won’t get a dedicated side button like its newer flagship models. The Galaxy Note FE also comes with a colour-matching Clear View Cover in the box.

The Galaxy Fan Edition is officially priced at RM2,599 and it comes in Coral Blue and Black Onyx. If you’re interested, it will be available starting from 25 October 2017 at all Samsung Experience Stores, authorised dealers and selected channel partners. It is worth pointing out that Malaysia is the first market outside of South Korea to get the Galaxy Note FE.

Still better design than the hideous GN8. When is LGV30 coming anyway?

Abu.Salimah

Is there a way for me to get it earlier please??? I will be moving overseas next week, and since this is limited quantity, probably by the time I return here it would be finished…

    Vernon

It is not limited quantity like in South Korea. This will be a permanent model, as mentioned by Samsung earlier today.

damned.. still contemplating whether to get this again or not.. Price should be way lower than this, since the original Note 7 launch price last was RM2799 with bunch of freebies,

A much better bargain and phone than a current uninspiring Samsung Note 8.

Samsung Note FE will be a worth considering flagship phone.

for a cheapskate who wants everything but don't wanna pay more…..

      HP. Enthusiast

Pay Samsung RM10,000 at the counter for one phone for RM3999 and don’t take your balance, then you can bragging about it here.

Budgets, cheaper phones doesn’t equivalence to bad and sub standards phones nowadays.

Only people who just wants to “looks like expensive” like you will pay whatever sum they put. What an idiotic comment ever.

Though the Note FE comes with a smaller battery but it’s still 200mAH bigger than the 3000mAH of the Note 5. Which I think is suffice for its size, depending on how frequent and rigorous the usage. I will get the Note FE for its IP68 Dust and Water Resistant capability, few updated built-in features and price. The Note 8 is a big device for its price, RM3999. That’s hefty price tag for a 6.3″ screened Note but with a extra 100mAH bump on the battery than of the Note FE.

Will it b a superb…
