The Redmi Note 4 has finally arrived in Malaysia with the retail price tag of RM799. For our market, we are getting the international model which runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor instead of MediaTek’s Helio X20 unit.

To recap, the Redmi Note 4 gets a 5.5″ Full HD display like its predecessor and it comes with a metal unibody design. For Malaysia, we are only getting a single 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option which is expandable via microSD on a hybrid dual-SIM slot. In terms of camera, the rear gets a 13MP f/2.0 shooter with PDAF along with a front facing 5MP f/2.0 unit. It also gets a fingerprint sensor, an infrared blaster and a large 4,100mAh battery which charges via microUSB.

The Redmi Note 4 will be available for pre-order starting on 10 March at 12AM. After that, it will be on open sale at Xiaomi’s Mi Store on Lazada as well as participating retail outlets nationwide starting 16 March 2017. Xiaomi will be sharing more details of the pre-order sale shortly. For RM799, the Redmi Note 4 does offer a lot of phone for your money.

UPDATE: The Redmi Note 4 pre-order is taking place on Lazada Malaysia. Only the 32GB version in Gold colour is being offered at 12 AM on 10 March with expected delivery by 16 March. They are also giving out 20% off vouchers (Max RM25) while stocks last.

am sure grey importers will bring it in but if Xiaomi International officials are reading this website, please take note of another deliberate own goal scored by none other than your goalkeeper, i.e. Xiaomi MY

Usually we get the lower specs phone from Xiaomi, then again with SD card option 32GB 3GB Ram at RM 799 is still a good deal.

lol. add another rm50 (rm849) & u can get the mi max 3gb 32gb from grey importer. same ram & rom. but faster cpu & gpu, bigger display & battery, 4k video recording & wifi ac. this redmi note 4 retail price totally not worth it!

if i not wrong, Helio x20 is more better performance than SD 625.the only good thing SD 625 is power efficiency correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct. Helio x20 scores about ~85k meanwhile the SD 625 scores around ~60k on AnTuTu. But for the efficiency, Snapdragon is always showing better battery life results than MediaTek.

I'm glad Xiaomi bringing the Snapdragon version to here. Easier to customize with custom ROM.

Ex Redmi Note 3

As usual, xiaomi malaysia will bring potato number of phone to malaysia and it will sold out in a minutes. No stock ready to buy and price will increase for dealer. Then wait months and months for restock. Hello xiaomi malaysia, wonder why oppo and vivo is shipping more phone than you last year? . It is because your logistic for stock is nightmare in Malaysia. Huawei proven more faster to bring new device and more stock available to buy than you stupid online shop. And i buy grey one from dealer, and it contain shittons loads of spyware and malware. Only buy original from xioami malaysia and make sure it is sealed. If unsealed for sure adsware/malware contagious.

Honestly from your ex Redmi Note 3 buyer. Wont buy another one from xiaomi ever again.

Then you look at the price for Oppo and Vivo…their RM1.8k phones using SD625. Huawei phones how much? If Xiaomi sells for RM1k+ you people also complain.

You still lived in the pass ? Xiaomi Malaysia no longer sell their phone thru their website, now you can either go to buy from Lazada Mi Offcial Online Shop or from reseller like Direct d OR Satu Gadget.

If divided by 12, it’s less than rm70 a mth for a decent good phone. Other brand with similar specs were selling 2x+ of this price. What a great deal I would say.

I never have good user experience with XiaoMi phone so far. Though the hardware spec is high but the glitch and performance doesn't really reflect the same. For example, it's high mega pixel camera aint comparable with iphone or other android phone which has much lower mp.

You must have not use a Xiaomi Phone especially flagship, even the old Mi3 camera has improves a lot after a few firmware update.

        CHONG WAN KONG

Redmi phone has nice decent camera but not up to flagship level especially at low light shot. If u want better camera, top up a bit for the price down mi5 or wait for the mi5c imported set. I want the mi5c as it's 'similar' to the expensive ip7 but only 25% of the price. ^^
