Apart from Celcom, Digi and Maxis, team orange is also offering the Galaxy Note7 in Malaysia. Retailing at RM3,199 outright, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 can be yours from as low as RM1,699 on U Mobile’s Ultimate Device plans. On top of that, early birds will walk away with additional freebies too.
For the first 30 customers, U Mobile is giving a RM319 rebate (10% off on device price), a battery pack, a wireless charger and a travel adaptor. To be entitled, you would need to grab a voucher on their promo page.
At the time of writing, U Mobile has run out of vouchers but there will be 2 more rounds of release on 9 August at 12AM and on 10 August at 12AM. If a voucher is not redeemed, it will be released to the public after a certain time frame. Like Samsung’s pre-order promo, you can get your unit a day earlier on 18th August 2016.
In terms of plans, there are 3 options with a 24-month contract duration. The Galaxy Note7 bundled pricing are as follows:
Ultimate Device 60 (RM60/month) – RM2,399
Ultimate Device 90 (RM90/month) – RM2,099
Ultimate Device 130 (RM130/month) – RM1,699
Take note that during registration, you would need to pay an upfront payment of either RM360 (UD60), RM600 (UD90) or RM960 (UD130) which is rebated back across 24 months to your bill. However, it can be waived if you purchase the device via credit card and opt for their auto debit facility.
To recap, the base Ultimate Device 60 plan comes with 5GB of data along with 3GB of video-onz for video streaming. Also included is 60 minutes of free calls which can be used to all networks. Hitting the middle ground, the Ultimate Device 90 offers 7GB of data, 5GB Video-Onz and unlimited calls. For the highest tier, Ultimate Device 130 plan gives you 10GB of data, unlimited Video-Onz video streaming, unlimited voice calls and free 65 SMS to all networks. Of course, the plans are not as enticing as their current Hero P98 postpaid but it is still cheaper than getting a phone outright.
