To put its durability concerns to rest, Samsung has released another video of its Galaxy S6 and S6 edge being stress tested. This time, a test to determine if the latest flagships can withstand drops on the back and on the sides.
This Galaxy S6 edge should be more prone to damage but Gorilla Glass 4 seems to be holding pretty well for direct impacts on the sides. The Samsung official drop test video appears to be too conservative for dropping only from chest height. For something more extreme, someone had did a drop test of the S6 edge versus the iPhone 6 at various heights. The double curve display phone has surprisingly managed to withstand the impact better than the metal clad iPhone 6 Plus.
