DiGi iPhone 5 Nano Sim

DiGi today has announced that they too are offering the new Nano SIM starting this Wednesday, 26th September 2012. The new Nano SIM which is used for the iPhone 5 is not only smaller but it is also 15% thinner than the standard SIM. It will be offered for free for new sign ups on DG Smart Plan or DG Postpaid Plus.

For existing postpaid, they would need to pay RM20 to swap their existing SIM to the new Nano SIM format. According to DiGi, the Nano SIMs will be widely available across 250 DiGi outlets nationwide by early October 2012. To find out where to get it, the full list of outlets carrying the Nano SIM will be published here tomorrow.

Today Maxis has started offering the new Nano SIM which is offered at RM25. So those that have gotten a iPhone 5 last weekend from oversea sources, you now have 2 local telcos offering the Nano SIM officially.

Dont' waste your RM20/25. You can just cut the micro sim even some of the metal plate got cut off. I tried with Maxis prepaid micro sim and it's working. ^_^ Ps: It slot perfectly without sandpaper the back of the sim card in order to reduce the thickness.
