U Mobile offers free SMS to Singapore & Indonesia

If you send a lot of text messages across to neighbouring Singapore and Indonesia, U Mobile has started a time limited promo where you can get up to 50 International SMS for free. All you need to do is to send 3 International SMS to the 2 countries at the normal rate of 35 sen and you will be given 50 additional SMS for the rest of the day. This means you get to send a total of 53 SMS to Singapore/Indonesia for just RM1.05/day.
Before you get started, you would need to activate the offer via call or SMS depending whether you are on prepaid or postpaid as shown above. All free SMS are only valid on the same day and it is eligible for 3, XL Axiata, Indosat, Telkomsel & Axis numbers in Indonesia and M1, Singtel and Starhub in Singapore. The free SMS offer runs until 30th March 2012.

May I know how is the Internet coverage for U Mobile? I am planning to sign up for U28 (post paid) plan so that I can use data on my samsung tab. Any comments?

3G coverage isn't as extensive nationwide as other players but if you're within Klang Valley, it should be adequate.

Am using U28 package. Definitely if you're within Klang Valley, which is Cyberjaya or Dengkil to about Sg Buloh, there is reception… PJ not a problem.
My download speeds average about 700K/sec in PJ. Reached 950K on a few occasions which is mighty impressive to me.
