Full Details of DiGi’s Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Plans Revealed

UPDATE: DiGi has brought back the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 pre-order page online. Now it is offered from as low as RM1,399. The outright price has been revised as well to RM2,099. That’s RM400 more than the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. To pre-order, head over here.
Original Post: DiGi has finally revealed its Galaxy Tab 7.7 bundled pricing just as teased yesterday. At time of posting, the page is taken down but we are expecting them to put this back later today.
Outright, the 7.7″ tablet with Super AMOLED Plus display goes for RM2,299 which is the same price as its smart phone counterpart, the Galaxy Note.
For those that wish to go on contract, you have a choice of DG SmartPlan 48 and 68 with either 12 or 24 months duration. The contracted pricing are as follows:

Note that these pricing are obtained via screenshots before the original Tab 7.7 page was taken down so there’s a small chance that it might be revised again later. Do check on DiGi’s Online Store later for the official figures. As usual, there’s also an upfront payment between RM50-RM500 required depending on plan and duration. Do expect other telcos to offer the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and we are looking at Celcom as the next player.
With Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 both having the same price tag, which would you go for and why?

The retail price is revised to RM 2099. Digi offering it for RM 1399 with Smart 68 plan for 24months contract..

From the current Samsung & Telco track record… Any idea if Tab 7.7 will reach Celcom..? Since 8.9, 10.1 & 7+ also available on both DiGi and Celcom…

pretty good bundling price from Digi (should be about the same range fr celcom/maxis)… would have taken this offer but they no longer have the rebate offer for Smartplan68 for RM48/mth; now its back to RM63(after RM5 cc rebate)

agree with Kris… not sure how often do people change between telcos… as for me, I have sticked with 1 for more than 10 yrs then a year ago changed to another telco and tied to a 24mth contract. I don't plan to change very soon since it meets my requirement and the offer was very good (phone price + bill rebates)
if the telco service meets your requirement (price/ internet quota/ data speed etc)… i don't see any problem tying down to a 12mth/24mth since you will actually save some money… for those who are unsure to commit to a contract, i suggest to try out the telco for a few months before deciding to be tied down for/12/24mths

As of today, the tab 7.7 is going for a online purchase price of RM 1049. 1 info seems vague though..
Is this price subject to purchse of device with commitment to dataplan. If i just want to purchase the device? Since i am an existing DiGi postpaid and smartplan subscriber…..
