5″ LG Optimus Vu compared with Galaxy Note

Few days ago, LG released a teaser of its 5″ LG Optimus Vu Android smart phone. This is seen as LG’s attempt to take on its bigger rival, the 5.3″ Samsung Galaxy Note. It is expected to debut at MWC 2012 and specs are said to be running on dual-core 1.5Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM.

The photo above shows a Optimus Vu and Galaxy Note side by side which gives us a rough idea on the actual size. Although the screen is just 0.3″ less, it sure does look huge due to its 4:3 aspect ratio screen. From the pic, it appears to be slightly wider than the Galaxy Note which we find somewhat challenging for single hand operation.

The 4:3 ratio makes the Vu look kinda like a TINY-tablet or a GIANT-Ipod Nano Touch, which ever you may… which makes it UGLY and UNCOMFORTABLE.

Before LG knows it, Samsung will introduce another new phone with 5.8 inch screen
LOL !

The icon styling similarity is uncanny. Is there a pact among Korean OEMs to use the same styling on their Android devices?
