Update: Samsung says the price for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be less than RM2,500.
Samsung Malaysia in a reply to a question on Facebook has mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is slated to launch in Malaysia somewhere between late Jan to early Feb.
Details are still sketchy at the moment so don’t treat this as the final word from Samsung. In any case, many will just be happy to know that the Tab 7.7 is coming.
In terms of pricing, we can only guess at the moment but expect the device to go beyond the RM2k mark thanks to that 7.7-inch 1280×800 Super AMOLED Plus screen. It’s probably the largest Super AMOLED Plus display to date. So expect a premium on that but expect operators to come up with plans for the device as well.

too expensive..eventhough with super amoled plus..but then, quad core is coming.. is it worth to spent 'less than rm2.5k' for few months only? it comes too late..it should launch before Christmas..

that will make 7 plus more economic sense as compared to 7.7. Pricing it above rm2k is way too expensive.

i think better wait for an other one or two months to compare with next gen iPad. As rumor goes, there will be also iPad mini. Even if new iPad doesn't show up, we will see more to come from Lenovo, Asus or Akah ( India) in this quarter.

What I head from one of the Samsung retail in PJ area is that Shipment is on its way and should reach our shores by this weekend or next week. He also mentioned that it should be launching the model on Monday 16th.. he sounded quite convincing, confirming that the stocks will definitely be here before CNY, else I can take every samsung device in his store =D

i estimated the RRP will be RM2199.. however, Trasformer prime also priced at RM2199. Both got their pro and cons..but one with dual core and one with quad core..another can call and 3g yet, the other one cannot…How to decide?

And how you know it's not profitable? It's a strategy to prevent apple from blocking them. They're already getting sued for the design. If they only have one product, apple will shut them down. HTC has lots of models too, you also think they're not making money and just being stupid?

Will the Malaysian Tab 7.7 be LTE ready for Digi's LTE network? Does any one know if the US Verizon Tab 7.7 LTE will work with Malaysia's LTE network when it's launched by Digi? Thanks.

Lol.not worth it. Waited this long for a super expensive dual core tablet? No thanks, Samsung. Better to go for tab 10.1 or wait longer for quad cores.
I couldn't wait so I bought 10.1 in dec 2011, very happy with the screen real estate.

Dude at the Samsung store at Digital Mall gave a Feb 1st release date with a RM2499 price tag. Not sure if telling the truth, or he hiked the price just so I'd get one of the cheaper tablets.
hopefully it is around 1.5k …….
