While the ASUS ROG Zephyrus was definitely a showstopper last year, it wasn’t exactly the best “laptop” primarily because the track pad was in such a weird position. Then again, this isn’t something that was uniquely ASUS’ problem.
Sure, you could get used to it, or use a mouse. But what if you didn’t want that. Well, for those, you’ve got the ROG Zephyrus M (GM501). It’s a laptop that keeps a lot of what’s good with the Zephyrus but in a form that makes sense.
Move aside Razer Phone, there’s a new mobile gaming machine in town. Xiaomi has just announced the Black Shark, its ultimate smartphone that’s designed for gamers.
In tech, it feels like everything that was once big will eventually become small. Stuff like phones, desktop towers, laptops, and display bezels have all shrunk significantly over the past few years. It’s all about getting more into less and last year, gaming laptops got a massive leg up in this space.
NVIDIA’s Max-Q design GPUs were created for the sole purpose of cramming the best graphical performance in the smallest form-factor possible — even in bodies that are as slim as 2cm thick. And that gave way to a rise in the number of super slim gaming laptops that, as we found out, were all pretty darn good.
So, if the slim ones are so good, why would you ever buy something as massive as Lenovo’s Legion Y920 gaming laptop?
You can’t have your cake and eat it too. For the most part, life is a barter trade where luxury demands hard work, perfection necessitates dedication, and power requires sacrifice. It’s a humbling principle that basically reminds you that you can’t have it both ways.
This is primarily the reason why purebred high-end gaming laptops never really interested me. Sure, they had all the power in the world but because of these high-powered components, the laptops needed to be enormous so those components could breathe.
There was no such thing as a no-compromise gaming laptop that was also super portable. Well, at least I didn’t think there was until I saw the Acer Predator Triton 700.
As a tech enthusiast, you have got to love Acer sometimes. Not because they always make the best products, but because they have the balls to take the leap and do what they want to do regardless of the circumstances. Last year, they gave us the absolutely bonkers Predator 21X.
This year they decided to cram most of that craziness into a chassis that’s thinner than 2cm. It’s called the Predator Triton 700 and starting today, you can pick one up for less than you’d expect.
It’s no secret that Razer is coming out with a smartphone of their own. After acquiring Nexbit earlier this year, the gaming brand will be announcing its first smartphone early next month.
If you’re looking for raw performance for gaming, the upcoming Razer phone will feature top of the line specs with more RAM than most flagship smartphones in the market.
Huzzah! ASUS‘ Greek god has arrived on our shores. Meet the ROG Zephyrus, one of the more interesting Max-Q laptops to have launched so far. Now that it’s in Malaysia, you’re probably wondering: How much will it cost?
The short answer? A lot.
Sennheiser is not new to the gaming headset market and this is one of their latest offerings — the Sennheiser GSP 350. Unsexy name aside, the headset comes with some impressive acoustic isolation and Dolby 7.1 Surround. But is it worth your money?
This is it. ASUS has done something absolutely awesome with the gaming laptop and it comes in the form of the ROG Zephyrus. Named after the Greek god of the West Wind, its name alone should give you a hint about what makes this ultra-thin, ultra-powerful gaming laptop special.
Yep, it’s in its cooling.
Remember that RM50,000 beast of a laptop that we saw back in IFA 2017? The one that only qualifies as a laptop because it barely fits on one’s lap? Yes, it’s the insane, incredible and absolutely awesome monster called the Acer Predator 21 X.
Well, if you’ve been dying to check it out, the good news is that it’s coming to Malaysia very, very soon.
