Deal: OnePlus 8 going for RM2,199 on 27 March

If you’re looking for a new flagship smartphone with a stock-like experience, the OnePlus 8 series will be offered with a hefty RM700 discount. This is the first sale of the devices on the new official OnePlus online stores after the change of distributorship in Malaysia.

The OnePlus 8 5G which is priced at RM2,899 can be yours for only RM2,199. Meanwhile, the higher-spec OnePlus 8 Pro 5G which retails for RM3,699 is going for RM2,999. Both models on offer come with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

If you’re interested, these promo offer will be available on Lazada on 27th March 2021. In addition, Lazada Citibank Credit Card holders can get RM150 off when you use the promo code CITI1PLUS. The devices will be offered with a one-year warranty.

The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor and are still pretty powerful for today’s usage. The OnePlus 8 features a 6.55″ Full HD+ 90Hz AMOLED display while the Pro version gets a 6.78″ 120Hz AMOLED screen.

In terms of cameras, the OnePlus 8 gets a triple-camera setup featuring a 48MP main camera, 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro shooter. Meanwhile, the Pro version gets a more versatile quad-camera setup with a 48MP main camera, 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and an extra 5MP colour filter camera.

Both models get a 16MP selfie camera, pair of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos enhancement and supports 30W Warp Charge. In terms of battery, the 8 gets a 4,300mAh battery while the 8 Pro has a larger 4,510mAh unit. The OnePlus 8 Pro also supports wireless charging and it comes with IP68 dust and water resistance.
