Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo X60 series is set to arrive on Malaysian shores, as the company looks to debut the device outside China for the firs time. In a Facebook post on the official Vivo Malaysia account, the company revealed that the X60 series—which will come with a Zeiss-branded camera—will be coming to Malaysia “soon”.

However, the company has now revealed the exact date for the launch of the upcoming Vivo X60: the 22nd of March 2021. Meanwhile, there are a number of interesting specs that Vivo has already confirmed, including the use of the Snapdragon 870 chipset—instead of the Exynos 1080 powering the China-only models.

Meanwhile, Vivo also alludes to a second generation Gimbal Stabilisation 2.0, along with, of course, the new partnership with Zeiss for its cameras. There aren’t any technical specs that have been revealed just yet, but there will also be an upgraded, Extreme Night Vision 2.0 for low light photography.

It seems pretty likely that the chipsets will be one of, if not the only change from the Vivo X60 series SKUs sold in China. As such, key specs for the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro should include a 6.56″ AMOLED pushing a FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both models sold in China can be charged at 33W, and the standard X60 is sustained by a 4,300mAh battery, with the Pro using a 4,200mAh battery.

As for cameras, the Vivo X60 comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear, including a 48MP OIS-supported main shooter, a 13MP portrait lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. Meanwhile, the X60 Pro uses a 50MP main camera, along with an 8MP telephoto lens, a 13MP portrait lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide shooter.

There’s also a Snapdragon 888-powered Vivo X60 Pro+, although for now, there hasn’t been confirmation of the models that will be coming to Malaysia. In the promotional images thus far, it seems like only the vanilla X60 is pictured, although it’s likely that a Pro model will be arriving, too.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on pricing in Malaysia for now, although the standard Vivo X60 is priced at a starting price of CNY 3,498 (~RM2,220) in China for 8GB of RAM and 256 of storage. Meanwhile the Pro retails for CNY 4,498 (~RM2,857) for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Vivo’s website states that there will be two colour options: Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue. Regardless, remember to keep SoyaCincau.com bookmarked—we’ll keep you abreast with the latest developments.
