Nowadays, a common feature found on smartwatches is menstrual tracking, which you can find on some of the latest wearables from Garmin, and even the Apple Watch Series 6. However, there has been something conspicuously missing until now—pregnancy tracking.
Now, Garmin is bringing pregnancy tracking to the Garmin Connect app, as well as compatible Garmin smartwatches. The new feature will offer moms-to-be a “snapshot” of their pregnancy, while also tracking the standard range of health and fitness data. Using the app, you’ll be able to log pregnancy symptoms, baby movement, and have access to tips on nutrition during your pregnancy.
Users will also be able to pause updates on their training status—which basically means that the app will take your pregnancy into account, rather than classify you as unfit due to any extended breaks in your fitness routine. This is because the app now takes into account how fitness and performance metrics fluctuate during pregnancy, which makes a lot of sense.
Additionally, you’ll also be able to track your baby’s size based on… fruits and vegetables. When the big day arrives, you’ll even have a Contraction Timer app that lets you track the duration and frequency of contracts, with the help of your compatible Garmin smartwatch.
