I’d like the ghosts living in my home to know who’s boss, so getting a Lego model of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 would help do the trick—right? The set is the latest in a collection of film-based Lego model building kits, and also the most detailed Lego brick recreation of the car ever produced.

The Lego Group announced the recreation of the iconic Ghostbusters Ecto-1 car ahead of the release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Even after the film release itself has been postponed to the summer of 2021, Lego is still releasing the 2352-piece set on 15 November.

The brick set is the buildable version of the classic converted 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance. It’s got so many authentic details including a range of tools and features used in the Ghostbusters film franchise.

The details features that you would recognise from the movie include the Ghost Sniffer, and extendable rear gunner seat, a working steering wheel, and paranormal detection equipment on the detailed roof rack. The car also has printed versions of the Ghostbusters logo on the car doors.

“I love creating Lego vehicles and having previously designed the Lego James Bond Aston Martin DB5, I loved the challenge of working on the Ecto-1. This is the largest and most detailed version of this car that we have ever created, It is crammed full of authentic features and Easter eggs, that I’m excited for builders to discover as they put this model together,” said Lego designer Michael Psiaki.

The Lego Ghostbusters Ecto-1 measures over 22.5cm high, 47cm long and 16.5cm wide. Brickset mentions that you can get it on Lego.com on its 15 November launch date for USD 199.99 (RM825.66), but we don’t know yet if they’re planning to officially release it in Malaysia at the same time.
