Malaysia has recorded 835 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 28,640. There are 2 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 238.
The Ministry of Health has reported 674 new recoveries and a total of 18,499 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 64.59% while the mortality rate is now 0.83%.
There are currently 9,903 active cases remaining which are isolated and receiving treatment. 89 are in ICU while 32 require respiratory support.
Out of the 835 new cases today, 5 are imported while 830 are transmitted locally. Sabah recorded the most with 410 cases, followed by Negeri Sembilan with 155 cases and Selangor with 126 cases.
The Ministry has identified 2 new clusters today. This includes Lintas cluster in Sabah and Limbungan cluster in Labuan. Out of the 36 active clusters that have reported new cases today, the Kaya cluster reported the most with 152 cases, followed by Saguking cluster with 55 cases and Melati cluster with 36 cases.
