The Sony Xperia 10 II is finally available in Malaysia. This is probably Sony Malaysia’s first smartphone of the year and it’s a mid-range device that comes with a tall 6″ display and has dust and water resistance.
Pricing and availability
The Xperia 10 II is officially priced at RM1,799 which is the same price as the OnePlus Nord. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
If you’re interested, you can buy it via Sony Malaysia’s online store as well as Lazada. Sony Malaysia is bundling a couple of freebies including the WI-C310 wireless in-ear headphones, a phone case and a screen protector.
Hardware specs
The Xperia 10 mark II comes with a 6.0″ OLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2520×1080 pixels in a wide 21:9 aspect ratio. For better durability, it uses Gorilla Glass 6 for both front and back, and it also gets IP68-rated dust and water resistance. Under the hood, it runs on a rather dated Snapdragon 665 processor and you can expand storage further via microSD card.
For taking pictures, it gets a triple-camera setup that consists of a 12MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. It can shoot 4K videos with Sony’s SteadyShot stabilisation. The front of the device is equipped with an 8MP selfie shooter.
There’s no stereo speakers but it has a 3.5mm headphone jack that supports DSEE HX audio upscaling with Hi-Res Audio. It is powered by a modest 3,600mAh battery that comes with Sony’s Adaptive Charging feature.
