Samsung has recently collaborated with K-pop sensation BTS to introduce its new Galaxy S20+ 5G BTS Edition and Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition. Designed exclusively for BTS’s devoted fans, the two devices are presented in a striking purple and black colour schemes that make them stand out compared to their standard variant.

Samsung even went as far as to redesign the packaging for the products, giving them a BTS-themed makeover complete with seven purple hearts, each representing a member of the band, on the box.

The new Galaxy S20+ 5G BTS Edition has a unique purple glass and metal exterior. It also comes pre-installed with BTS themed lock screen and wallpaper. Apart from that, the device comes with decorative stickers to allow fans to further personalize their device, and seven photo cards featuring pictures of the band members for fans to keep

The special edition Galaxy S20+ has a quad-camera array that consists of a 12MP main camera, a 64MP telephoto with 3x hybrid optical zoom, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle unit and a DepthVision sensor for depth effects. On the front, it has a 10MP camera for selfies that is also able to record 4K videos.

For power, the Galaxy S20+ has a 4,500mAh battery that supports Super Fast charging (45W) via USB-C. It also comes with IP68 rating for dust and water resistance as well as Samsung Pay for enabling contactless payment.

Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition

Immerse yourself in BTS’ best songs with the new Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition. The charging case rocks the band’s logo while the earbuds sport a cool purple and black colour scheme. The earbuds also come with the photo cards of the band right in the box as a keepsake for fans.

Just like the regular edition of the Galaxy Buds+, it has a 2-way speaker system that is tuned by audio engineers, AKG. To help cancel out ambient noise during voice calls it uses two outer microphones and an internal microphone.

Users can use the touch and tap controls on the earbuds to control their music or answer calls. It also has an ambient mode that allows the wearer to hear the outside world without having to remove their earbuds.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition has 11 hours of music playback on a single charge on its 85mAh battery. The included charging case’s 270mAh battery is claimed to offer a total of 22 hours of music. If you forget to charge your case don’t worry because it supports fast charging via USB-C. This allows you to get 1 hour of music playtime with just a 3-minute charge.

Samsung has not released the official price for the BTS Edition smartphone and earbuds. In Malaysia, the standard variants of the Galaxy S20+ retails for RM3,999 while the Galaxy Buds+ retails for RM599.
