As many of us work from home in remote working situations, the world of online content goes on. I mean, I’ve even heard of shows like the Blacklist using animations to flesh out their season finale due to COVID-19-related constraints.

But if you’re an Apple TV+ subscriber, get your popcorn out—here are 4 brand new shows that you can check out now.

Central Park

For fans of musicals, Central Park is an musical comedy that is the brainchild of Emmy Award-winning Loren Bouchard (Bob’s Burgers), Josh Gad (Grammy Award winner for Frozen), and Nora Smith, who also won an Emmy for her work on Bob’s Burgers.

The animated show follows the Tillermans, a fictional family living in—yep, you guessed it—Central Park. The underlying storyline is one where the protagonists, Owen and Paige, along with their kids Molly and Cole war against a hotel heiress who wants to convert the park to high-rise condos.

Central Park premieres on the 29th of May 2020; click here to watch Central Park on Apple TV+.

Dads

The new documentary series, Dads, features six “extraordinary” fathers around the world, following the ups and downs of parenting. As part of the series, viewers will get a uniquely-candid peek into the challenges faced by modern day fathers in 2020.

Some of Hollywood’s most recognisable celebrities also make appearances via interviews, home footage, and testimonials. These include Judd Apatow, Jimmy Fallon, Neil Patrick Harris, Ron Howard, Ken Jeong, Jimmy Kimmel, Hasan Minhaj, Conan O’Brien, Patton Oswalt, and Will Smith—so you can fully expect to be entertained.

Dads premieres on the 19th of June 2020. Click here to find out more.

Dear…

Dear… is a series that documents the lives of some of the most recognisable individuals in society today. These include Oprah Winfrey, Gloria Steinem, Spike Lee, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Yara Shahidi, Stevie Wonder, Aly Raisman, Misty Copeland, and Big Bird.

If you’re in the mood to explore the lives of these iconic figures, Dear… is set to be released on the 5th of June 2020. Find out more here.

Greatness Code

Sports fans, this one is for you! Greatness Code is yet another documentary, one that takes an unscripted approach when exploring “untold stories” from world class athletes from various sports from around the globe.

Each episode—there are seven in a season—focuses on pivotal moments in these athletes’ careers, with Lebron James, Tom Brady, Alex Morgan, and Usain Bolt all featured.

Excited? Greatness Code premieres on the 10th of July 2020, and you can find out more by clicking here.

Additionally, you can also catch the latest special episode of Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet on Apple TV+, while the latest episode of Defending Jacob (starring Chris Evans) is also available now.

Apple TV+ is available in over 100 countries, including Malaysia. Pricing starts at RM19.90 per month, although you can try the service out for free for seven days. If you’re keen to find out more, click here for more information.
