As we are currently in phase two of the Movement Control order, fuel prices in Malaysia for the coming week marks yet another weekly drop. Both RON95 and RON97 petrol have dropped by 8 sen per litre while Diesel has gone down by 10 sen per litre.

Malaysia Petrol Price new

Below is the new fuel prices which will take effect from 4th April until 10th April 2020:

RON95 – RM1.30/litre (-8 sen)
RON97 – RM1.60/litre (-8 sen)
Diesel – RM1.58/litre (-10 sen)
Diesel (Euro 5) – RM1.68/litre (-10 sen)

Prices have fallen across the board for five consecutive weeks due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Overall, RON95 has dropped by 78 sen while RON97 has dropped by 80 sen since the first week of March 2020.

The new RON97 petrol price at RM1.60/litre is the lowest since 31st July 2005. At that time, the price was increased by 10 sen from RM1.52/litre to RM1.62/litre.

Although petrol is cheap, all Malaysians are urged to stay at home throughout the MCO period. Do note that petrol station operating hours are now limited to 8am to 8pm daily.
