[ UPDATE 30/08/2019 8:00PM ] Celcom has updated that its network has been restored in the Northern region at 6:30pm.
Celcom has acknowledged a network interruption in the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia. As a result, Celcom and Xpax customers in these areas may have difficulty using voice, SMS and data services.
In the past few hours, several Celcom users have complained about having “No Service” on their smartphones.
According to Celcom, the issue was caused by a “double fibre failure.” The blue telco is trying to resolve the problem as soon as possible and they aim to restore their network fully by 8pm tonight.
