This is what Samsung’s new iPad Pro contender looks like

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will be launching very soon and it’s the South Korean brand’s flagship tablet that will compete directly with Apple’s iPad Pro. Now we get to a clearer look at the device with the latest batch of leaked images from Android Headlines.

The Galaxy Tab S6 appears to come in three colour options which now include pink and blue options. The new tablet has a dual-camera setup at the rear, which is a first we’ve seen for a Samsung tablet and there’s now a recessed area at the rear that doubles up as a magnetic dock for the new redesigned S Pen.

Since this is a flagship-class tablet, you can expect a quad-speaker setup that’s tuned by AKG. Similar to the latest Galaxy Tab S5e, Samsung has also killed the headphone jack on the new tablet.

If you look around, it appears that the Galaxy Tab S6 doesn’t come with a physical fingerprint sensor. It is speculated that the new tablet could feature an in-display sensor, or alternatively, it could stick to just face unlock like the latest generation iPad Pro.

In terms of hardware, the new slab is expected to feature a 10.5″ display (likely QuadHD+) and a Snapdragon 855 processor with at least 6GB RAM plus 128GB of storage. For greater productivity, the Galaxy Tab S6 can be used as a “notebook” with an accompanying keyboard folio accessory.

At the moment, there are no concrete details of its official launch. While some have speculated that it will be released alongside the Galaxy Note 10 series, it is possible that Samsung might announce the new tablet during IFA 2019 in Berlin instead.
