Celcom ups the ante by offering home visits for OKU customers

Celcom has announced its initiative to empower its new and existing differently abled customers (OKU). In addition to providing priority service at all Celcom bluecube outlets and offering a lifetime rebate, the blue telco is taking a step further by offering home visitations as well.

If a potential or existing OKU customer requires further assistance on location, they can request for a Celcom customer service representative to come to their home. This can be arranged by calling in at 1111 or 019-601 1111. Alternatively, customers can also request via Celcom’s website and social media platforms.

This home visitation service is also applicable to OKU customers that intend to register a new plan with Celcom. Apart from home visitation, OKU customers are also allowed to register or amend their existing plans via a third party as well. This can be a friend or family member, and Celcom would require an authorisation letter, certified disability card (OKU card) and a copy of the representative and customer’s NRIC.

For OKU customers that visit Celcom’s bluecube outlets, they can enjoy immediate priority or next available service by a customer service representative upon identification. Service can be rendered at designated areas within Celcom bluecube that are suited to the customers’ preference.

According to Celcom, 39 bluecube outlets are currently wheelchair accessible and they are planning to increase wheelchair accessibility at more locations. They also added that differently abled customers will be personally attended by any bluecube staff at any point near a Celcom bluecube outlet.

According to Celcom’s CEO, Idham Nawawi, the telco is honoured to do its part following its Consumer First Pledge that prioritises complaint resolution and customer service quality. He added that Celcom assures inclusivity to its differently abled customers by empowering them with technology, made accessible with its exclusive priority services.

Similar to other telcos, Celcom also offers RM10 lifetime monthly rebate on Celcom Mobile Postpaid, Celcom Home Wireless and Celcom Xpax Postpaid plans for all OKU customers. You can learn more from Celcom’s Empower page.
