If you’re still using the Huawei Mate 9 and P10 series smartphones, the latest EMUI 9.0 update is finally rolling out in Malaysia. According to Huawei, they are still committed to pushing software updates to older devices that were introduced at the end of 2016.

The EMUI 9 update which is based on Android 9.0 Pie is the second major upgrade for the Huawei Mate 9 and P10 series. The latest OS version provides a more consistent UI design, convenient one-hand operation plus gesture navigation. It is also optimised for quicker response and shorter app startup times with the use of AI prediction technology.

According to Huawei, over 80,000,000 users have updated to EMUI 9 and they expect the number to reach 100,000,000 by the middle of this year. To check if you’ve received an update, you can go to Settings > Software Update. You can find out what version you’re on at Settings > Systems > About Phone. Alternatively, you can also visit a Huawei retail store and service centres for assistance with the update.

You can learn more about the new EMUI 9.0 features over here.
