Apple WWDC 2018

Apple will be hosting its 29th Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC18) on 4-8 June 2018 in San Jose, California. It’s an annual event where Apple will showcase the future of its products and services. It’s also an opportunity for developers to learn more about creating new experiences across all Apple platforms such as iOS, MacOS, WatchOS and tvOS.

During last year’s WWDC, Apple had introduced ARKit which allowed developers to create augmented reality experiences on iOS. This year, Apple will be empowering developers to allow users to take control of everything from health to homes with SiriKit, HomeKit, HealthKit, GymKit, MusicKit, ResearchKit and CoreML.

If you’re a developer and you wish to attend, you can register yourself for a chance to buy a ticket which will cost US$1599 (about RM6,229) each. Registration will close on 22 March 2018 at 10:00AM PDT.

For students, they are offering up to 350 WWDC Student Scholarships this year. If you’re selected, Apple will provide a free WWDC18 ticket, lodging and one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program. Submissions will be open on 26 March 2018 and you can learn more about the scholarships here.
