Motorola wants to show Nokia how to make a proper throwback device

Seems that Motorola might have a retro phone coming our way pretty soon, with the possibility of there being a revival for their iconic RAZR phones.

For those who aren’t in the know, Motorola’s RAZR devices were slim, clamshell smartphones which were quite the in thing all the way back in the early 2000’s.

This is on top of last year’s reveal that the brand shouldn’t rule out the phone’s return but they haven’t said much since then.

However, there are also indications that Motorola could be experimenting with flexible displays, so the new RAZR devices could be something more of a breakthrough rather than a cheap feature phone.

“With the new technology, particularly foldable screens, I think you will see more and more innovation on our smartphone design,” stated Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing (Lenovo currently owns Motorola).

He could very well be hinting at a new Motorola RAZR but it might be a completely new device as well, with some possibility of both being in development, but until we hear some concrete news, all we can do is wait and enjoy the nostalgia.
