For those who have pre-ordered between 11-13 April, you can collect your device today at your designated collection points or delivery location. Samsung Galaxy S8 Price and colour options

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are priced at RM3,299 and RM3,699 respectively inclusive of GST. At the moment, Samsung is only offering 3 colours – Midnight Black, Orchid Grey and Maple Gold.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Specs

For Malaysia, we are getting a single 64GB storage option for both the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display and it runs on Samsung’s 10nm Exynos 8895 processor with 4GB of RAM.

The 64GB storage can be expanded further by adding a microSD card onto its hybrid dual-SIM slot. For imaging, it gets a 12MP f/1.7 dual-pixel camera with OIS while the front gets an 8MP f/1.7 shooter which now comes with Auto Focus. If you haven’t seen it yet, do check out our camera comparison.

The Galaxy S8 comes with a 3,000mAh battery and it supports adaptive fast charging on USB Type-C. Like its previous flagship models, the Galaxy S8 also supports fast wireless charging on both PMA/WPC standards.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S8+ is the bigger screen model with a 6.2″ Quad HD AMOLED display and a larger 3,500mAh battery. The rest of the hardware are identical to the smaller Galaxy S8. You can find out what we think in our full review.

Malaysia average monthly salary or fresh grade…

Can even able to afford a normal flagship samsung smartphone…

King of the phone 2017. Pricing are fair as only similar to the iphone 7 32gb. Flagships from others brand even not beating the s7.

Went to Samsung, nobody looking at the phone. Is the phone really doing that well?

    Scare of battery letup..

3299/3699. more than most people's salary

They offer rm1300 to trade in the S7 edge. This is roughly the amount you will get when trading in your S8 in a year time. The higher the price, the steeper the depreciation.

I was in mid valley and there were some people collecting their preorder phone. I did have a chance to play with the demo. It does look slicker then the S7e, the s8 especially is quite nice to grip due to a narrower cut. But that's about it. There is not much else up its sleeve, maybe because S7e is already a very accomplished phone. A lot of premium is paid for the screen and the look.

One of the main reason for going for the newest Galaxy S is for its support of OS upgrades. No new device, no new OS.

One pay for its continuous software support (1 major upgrade at least) and innovative plethora set of SamApps that replaces Google's.

With theses support options, it's not expensive at all.

Galaxy S series usually will get 2 majors updates.
    S4 JB – kitkat – lolipop
    S5 Kikat – Lolipop – MM
    S6 Lolipop – MM – Nougat

Let's also include the version numbers. So not really 2 'Major' for all.
But at least 1 is better than none.

      Ice-cream Sandwich v4.0
      Jelly Bean v4.1 – 4.3
      KitKat v4.4
      Lollipop v5.x
      Marshmallow v6.x
      Nougat v7.x

S8/S8+ already launched.. when S7/edge price will drop?

Happy with my A5. Buy so expensive for what..
