Huzzah! TM has announced a partnership with what is perhaps the most popular internet streaming service in the world: Netflix.
When webe was first introduced, its mobile postpaid plan at RM79/month gives you almost unlimited everything except for wifi tethering. A few months ago, they had offered a few months of 1GB of free hotspot data and obviously, that isn’t enough for most power users.
Probably after much persuasion by its potential subscribers, the TM mobile brand is now offering free 10GB of LTE hotspot data to all webe mobile subscribers.

After the appointment of its new Group CEO, Telekom Malaysia has announced another round of reshuffling for its management positions. This includes the announcement of Moharmustaqeem Mohammed as the new CEO of webe.
If you’re a TM Unifi subscriber and have yet to received your “surprise” yet, you’re not alone. According to TM’s deputy CEO Datuk Bazlan Osman, the broadband speed upgrade will be done in phases according to network availability and they aim to double the Internet speeds for all UniFi customers by the end of this year.
TM’s webe is the only telco that offers a single postpaid plan that comes with unlimited calls, sms and data for RM79/month. The biggest limitation, of course, is its tethering hotspot feature. Unlike other telcos that let their subscribers tether for free, webe charges you each time you need to use your phone as a WiFi hotspot.
Probably after getting enough feedback and a nudge from its competitor, webe has finally revised its WiFi hotpsot/tethering offering. On top of that, they are also throwing free hotspot data for the next few months.
Webe is now entering the enterprise segment by introducing its business-centric mobile and broadband plans. At first glance, they are quite similar to its consumer offering but you do get a little extra.
In case you didn’t know, webe is also offering wireless broadband over 4G LTE. Initially available as a SIM-only plan, the new mobile operator is finally offering a MiFi modem which you use to share the connection with up to 10 devices.
