REDtone, another WiMAX operator has quietly launched its portable USB WiMAX offering. The portable USB WiMAX modem comes with 2 plans, the Flexi50 and Flexi80.
Flexi50 offers 512kbps download and 128kbps upload with 8GB quota at RM50/month, while Flexi88 offers 1Mbps download and 384kbps upload with 15GB quota at RM88/month. The packages looks similar with the recent P1 WiMAX Wiggy postpaid plans of WiGGY 59 and WiGGY 89.

P1 has released a teaser that seems to be a USB WiMAX dongle that is expected to be released around this time of the year.
The dongle is called the Wiggy which is a unique identifier for its USB product and this will give more expected mobility for P1 W1MAX. So far, P1 is only available on its bulky DS-300 Modem.
The teaser site has a countdown counter and the timing of the launch is coincidently on the same time as PC Fair. This is something really to look forward to this coming weekend.
Update: AMAX WiMAX undergoing re-engineering, read about it here.

AMAX, is one of the 4 WiMAX operators in Malaysia which hasn’t been visible in the market. Apparently they are doing low key promotions as opposed to P1 W1MAX aggresive campaigns almost everywhere.
Not many people know what AMAX is, let alone their packages or coverage areas but recently we were given a tip off by a reader with their promotion.
