U Mobile is offering a Buy 1 Free 1 Nokia offer when you sign up with their new U Postpaid plans with bundled data. For the first phone purchase, they are offering the Nokia E5 and the Nokia X3 Touch and Type for contract however the free unit provided for both is only the X3 Touch and Type.

For the first plan, you can pick from U Value, U Plus and U Premium plans which monthly commitment is at RM98, RM138 and RM168 respectively. Upon sign up, you would need to pay the RRP price of the phone of RM705 for the E5 or RM540 for the X3 Touch and Type. Depending on the plans you pick, U Mobile offers subsidies for the device in the form of rebates which goes back to your bill usage. The lower 2 plans – U Value and U Plus are tied to a 18 months contract while the higher U Premium is tied at 24 months.
For the free X3 Touch and Type device, you’ll need to sign up for a U38 plan but the good news is that there’s no contract. The only catch is that you’ll need to put up an upfront payment of RM380 for credit card or RM500 for cash payment which either one will be rebated back in 10 months evenly.

U Mobile is on a roll today after announcing its long awaited HSPA+ service. Now they have also announced a range of phone bundlings that’s tied with different plans and contracts.
Some of the bundle offers are the same such as the BlackBerry Curve 9300 and Bold 9780 going for RM90/month and RM142/month respectively with 12 months contract of U Mobile BIS Plan. The U Mobile Huawei MiFi too is the same at RM210 with U Broadband plan.
What’s new is that U Mobile is offering an Android device, the HTC Wildfire for only RM199 with 24 months contract of U Premium Plan. We have no idea about this new U Premium Plan and it is not even on U Mobile’s website. In the previous bundling plan for Nokias, there was a PAYU Voice plan which is added on top of an existing UB68 data plan that looks similar with DG Smart Plan.
For those who want a cheap phone without contract, there’s the U Mobile SOU which supports 2 SIM and priced at only RM230 outright. For that price, it includes a U Mobile Prepaid starter pack, a RM50 top up voucher plus an extra battery.
Head after the break for more bundles of Nokia devices which includes the Nokia 7230, Nokia E5, Nokia X3 Touch & Type and Nokia C7.

Maxis offers the Nokia X3 Touch and Type for FREE with 24 months contract of 500MB data plan of RM58/month. This FREE offer is applicable for subscribers that are on Value Plus 50 and above. Not a bad deal considering the phone retails at RM610.
In addition, Maxis is giving an extra RM10 rebate monthly, which means your monthly data plan is just RM48/month. That’s only RM98 a month if bundled together with Maxis Value Plus 50. There’s no mention however if this is eligible on higher 1.5GB or 3GB mobile internet plans and we find no reason why they should leave the higher plans out. We think 500MB is quite little for RM48 a month, and for couple extra RM10 notes monthly, you can get triple the data quota.

Nokia has revealed the X3 Touch & Type that offers a 2.4″ QVGA touch screen and a 12-button keypad. According to Nokia’s SVP of Design, the keypad is great for single handed texting while the touch screen offers the easiest control on the interface, giving users the best of both worlds.
This “Hybrid” input device has dimension of 106mm x 48mm x 9.6mm which makes it one of Nokia’s slimmest devices to date. It also just weights a tiny 78g. On the technical aspects, the device offers 3G/HSPA, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, FM Radio and a 5MP Camera which are pretty standard for today’s phone. However we find it odd that they left out bluetooth and GPS which should come standard with in a phone like this.
The device runs on Symbian Series 40 Touch & Type edition and for storage, it has a removable microSD slot that supports up to 16GB. The X3 Touch and Type comes in 5 vibrant colours – White Silver, Dark Metal, Petrol Blue, Pink and Lilac.
Design wise, the X3 Touch and Type is simple yet sleek with a brushed aluminium finish for the back. On the front, keypad however is slightly different with the typical last row keys such as hash, asterix and zero moved to the right most column.
The X3 Touch and Type is expected go retail by this quarter at about €125 (approximately RM500). It will released first in China, Ireland & UK, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Mexico, Saudi & Yemen. Other countries are to be released later.
