For those who are waiting, official word from Nokia PR states that the N8 will be coming to Malaysia early October. We predict that the pricing will be within the RM1,900 to RM1,700 range outright and we’re not expecting any contract plans from the local telco boys.

At the Nokia N8 preview, Glen Cha, the Manager of Nokia Product Marketing gave a walkthrough demo on some of the highlights of the device.
In this post we’ve uploaded a video of Glen giving a brief intro of the Nokia N8 and the new Symbian S^3 mobile platform, along with the Nokia N8’s music player.
As you can see from the video, the S^3 OS that will making its first appearance in the Nokia N8, offers up a much improved and responsive user experience.

(Update 04092010) Alright let’s get straight to the point, we screwed up on the MicroUSB port bit in this review. After much rummaging through the interweb , the Nokia N8 does use MicroUSB for its data connectivity. Perhaps during our rush to get as much material as we can from the short time we had with the N8, we got the ports all mixed up. We’re sorry about this and thanks everyone for correcting the error.
Nokia Malaysia was kind enough to invite us to play around with what they are claiming as their most innovative smartphone ever. Yes, ladies and gents we got some quality hands-on time with the Nokia N8 and here’s our first impression of the device.
