Earlier on, we had a peek on a new Droid 2 dubbed the Droid 2 Global. While it looks almost the same as the original Droid 2, the Motorola Droid 2 Global spots a faster 1.2GHz processor and supports both CDMA and GSM. Also bundled in are more productivity tools and also remote data wipe functionality.
So far we haven’t seen any official announcement but Verizon Wireless had revealed the details piece by piece without much obvious attention. Now there’s even a video for it.
Check out the introductory video after the jump.
Droid-Life has an exclusive scoop on the Global version of the Motorola Droid 2 in a form of a comparison sheet.
From the details, the Droid 2 Global comes in 2 colours, Dark Sapphire and Winter White. The processor has been bumped up as well to 1.2GHz and the 3.7″ screen supports a wide 854×480 resolution. Being a global phone, the Droid 2 supports both CDMA and GSM signals. This poses a challenge to HTC’s Desire Z which also features a slider QWERTY keyboard.
