Moto’s G5 Plus came to me with a whole bunch of hype surrounding it. Reviews raved about how brilliant it was, and how it was all the Android smartphone you needed.
Needless to say, the bargain-hunter in me was looking forward to testing out this supposedly amazing budget smartphone.

The original Moto G5 Plus was announced earlier this year at MWC 2017 and it is currently available in Malaysia at RM1,299. Now it appears that the folks at Lenovo is giving this mid-ranger a well deserving upgrade which is expected to be called as the Moto G5S Plus.
The Moto G series is Motorola’s popular budget lineup and it’s already in its 5th generation with the Moto G5 Plus. The G5 Plus was first announced during MWC 2017 and now it has finally arrived in Malaysia.
Lenovo Malaysia has dropped a note to us that a Moto event is taking place on 29 May 2017. Following the release of its Moto M smartphone earlier this year, we believe this is likely to be the launch of the Moto G5 Plus which was introduced during MWC 2017.
The affordable smartphone segment is a hotly contested one but Lenovo believes that it has the right stuff to sway price-sensitive buyers. The Moto G5 and G5 Plus are the latest smartphones to come from Lenovo that promises a premium-feel and comparable specifications at an attractive price.
