Maxis has finally revealed its Samsung Galaxy S II bundled plans. While they are offering a RM799 for the first 300, they are also offering additional RM200 off for those that subscribe for their contract package between 22 June – 22 July 2011.
The bundled offer is still the same Value Plus plan with Data bolt-on contract over 12, 18 and 24 months. For the 24 months contract with 1.5GB/3GB data, the Galaxy S II can be yours at RM1399. With the RM200 off promo, it is cheaper at only RM1199.
It also looks like the RM799 launch offer is applicable for the first 300 that signed up with 24 months contract with 3GB data.

UPDATE: RM799 Galaxy S II offer is tied to Maxis 24 months contract with 3GB data plan. Read more over here.
Samsung is throwing a special offer for the Samsung Galaxy S II launch next week. The first 300 buyers on 22nd June will get to buy it for only RM799! A huge RM1300 savings. We wonder if Samsung will set up a line for people to queue up the night before.
Also highlighted on the promo image above is that the RRP for the Galaxy S II is only RM2099! It’s no wonder why the grey importers were throwing their prices from its initial RM2699.

With the Samsung Galaxy S II official launch looming, grey import dealers are starting to drop prices for this anticipated device. From its initial selling price of RM2599, we are now seeing Galaxy S II selling from as low as RM2099 – cheaper than HTC Sensation outright price of RM2299.
Could the official Samsung Galaxy S II price be lower or close to what those dealers are selling? We will only find out next week when it is launched. If you want to be the first, these offers are pretty good for what Samsung Galaxy S II has to offer. However for greater peace of mind with full local warranty support, we would recommend getting the official stocks for our local market.

UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy S II plans from Maxis here.
Samsung Galaxy S II is launching in Malaysia next week at Midvalley Megamall. We just got tipped that Samsung has booked the ground floor centre court from 22-26 June 2011. Details can be found on this page.
As you probably have known, the Samsung Galaxy S II is exclusive to Maxis and they have started their registration of interest last week. So now we know the launch date and the final piece of the puzzle would be the price and bundled offering from Maxis.
Its closest rival, the HTC Sensation has started sales 2 weeks back and we’re told a telco tie up would be coming pretty soon. It will be interesting to see which of the 2 would be more attractive in package and bundling.
Thanks TCMean for the lead!

UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy S II Maxis plans out now.
Finally the Samsung Galaxy S II anticipated launch is showing some signs in Malaysia. Maxis has started its ROI process for the Samsung Galaxy S II just days after its closest rival, HTC Sensation has made an appearance in Malaysia.
According to the spec sheet on Maxis site, we will be getting Samsung’s very own 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos variant with Mali-400MP GPU. This will give the HTC Sensation a well deserved fight in terms of performance as early figures suggest higher benchmark scores compared to Nvidia’s Tegra 2 chipset. This is it people! Samsung Galaxy S II any moment now with Super AMOLED Plus and the thinnest dual-core Gingerbread smart phone design to date. Let’s hope the subsidy pricing for Maxis will be attractive.
To register your interest, head over to Maxis’s Android page.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II is featured again in another video. Especially for those who can’t wait, Samsung has released an official hands-on video which goes through the details of the device which includes TouchWiz, Web Browser and an improved email client. This gives us a closer look at the device unlike its previous commercial videos.
The 12 minute video shows almost everything that the phone has to offer including how widgets, home screens and apps are being managed. What we liked particular is the email client which looks like a tablet interface when used in landscape mode. As teased earlier, they also demo the gyroscope assisted navigation/zoom feature.
A new feature worth highlighting is its Kies Air, where you can manage your phone’s media files from your computer via wireless connection. Basically the Galaxy S II turns into a media web server which you can directly view and manage your content through its web interface on your computer’s browser. Overall, the Galaxy S II brings a host of new features and improvement over its predecessor the Galaxy S in both hardware and software aspects. HTC has joined the dual-core Android arena with its HTC Sensation. It would be interesting to see how both will compare in terms of usability and most importantly pricing.
Now when is the Samsung Galaxy S II launching in Malaysia? We can’t wait.

Samsung has released more ads to build up the hype for its upcoming Galaxy S II. Previously, they highlighted its vivid Super AMOLED PLUS display, voice recognition and its ultra slim form factor capabilities.
The new ad focuses on their enhanced TouchWiz UI feature which lets you zoom in and out by moving the Galaxy S II inwards or outwards, while holding 2 fingers on the screen. If you would like to see how this works in detail, check out the early preview here.
Head after the break for more ads on the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Here’s the latest Samsung Galaxy S II commercial to hit the web. Is it just us or did the ad just suggested that the Galaxy S II makes a really good upskirt camera?
In any case, here are the other Samsung Galaxy S II commercials:

Here’s the latest Samsung Galaxy S II commercial. It’s nothing groundbreaking or particularly exciting to watch but the ad does showcase how the phone’s Voice Talk feature can be applied in a more realistic day-to-day scenario — in this case, it’s texting while driving.
Although, it’ll be at least another month before the Galaxy S II comes to Malaysia, you can have the Voice Talk feature now. All you need to do is download Vlingo from the Android Market. The app works for iOS devices too.
Enjoy.
