Apple’s iChat is confirmed on the next iPhone HD/4G released by Apple. According to a source, Sam Mendes will be directing a commercial showing a mother and daughter having a video chat thru the iPhone in one of its commercials.
This significantly assure us that the front facing camera is really included in the final production model and will be used for video conferencing.
It will be interesting to see how Apple known for revolutionising things will succeed in mobile video conferencing. Video calls which is the killer function in 3G never really kicked off in a big way and it is exciting to see how Apple will turn things around.

According to a tip off, sales of the iPhone 3G has been frozen by AT&T signaling the end of the model. At the same time, the price of the iPhone 3GS has been reduced by Walmart with the 16GB version going for only $97.
All these changes are pointing that the iPhone HD/4G launch is near, making the iPhone 3GS the lowest entry level model in the market. Maxis did the same thing last year when iPhone 3GS was launched.
Lets just see how soon Maxis & DiGi will react towards these market changes for iPhones.

It looks like the new iPhone is globetrotting to all corners of the world. There’s a leak in the US, there’s one in Vietnam and now one in China Taiwan.
This latest leak reveals what appears to be two completely assembled iPhone HD/4G. One in full black and full white. The forward facing camera is very clearly seen on the full white version.
Unlike the Vietnam leak, the duo that we see in the pictures are sporting the two small screws flanking the comms port at the bottom of the device, so we’re not sure which one is the real McCoy.
What is certain is that the full white iPhone HD/4G is fugly. It looks cheap in our oppinion.
What do you think?

UPDATE: DiGi officially offers Micro SIM, read about it here.
DiGi‘s currently running a poll on facebook on whether the should offer micro SIM for prepaid or postpaid.
We think whatever the result is, postpaid or prepaid, the poll is purely academic because at the end of the day DiGi will introduce micro SIMs and they will offer it for both postpaid and prepaid plans eventually.
The more pertinent question right now is whether DiGi will bring in the iPhone HD/4G and the iPad 3G.
The jury’s still out on that but we’re pretty sure that the introduction of Micro SIMs into the local market from two telcos carrying the iPhone is not merely a ploy to “welcome” iPad 3G early adopters. It could very well mean alot more than that.

We still don’t know how did this iPhone ended up all the way in Vietnam but this is the 2nd time the next iPhone HD/4G is spotted in the wild after Gizmodo.
The Vietnamese dude managed to get a unit which looks more refined and furnished compared to the first sighting at Gizmodo. In the video, you’ll get to see the overall built as well as the Micro SIM slot which is placed on the right.

Ellen made a spoof iPhone ad and we though that it was pretty funny, but Apple seems to think otherwise.
After the spoof was aired earlier this week, the Apple people contacted Ellen and told her that they didn’t think it was funny. Instead, the spoof, Apple said, made the iPhone look like it’s difficult to use.
Apple was so offended by the spoof that it made Ellen apologise on her show. “Everybody at Apple, Steve Jobs, Mr Macintosh, I apologise. I’m sorry,” she said.
Oh come one. Everyone knows the iPhone is not difficult to use but the Ellen’s spoof is kind of what’s really happening. We know heaps of iPhone users who accidentally sent the wrong text because of the over eager auto correct robot. It happens to us at least a couple of times in a day. How about you?
This is not the first time Apple products where made the butt of talk show jokes. David Letterman made the iPad look like it is almost impossible to use on his show and the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart called Apple appholes. With Ellen’s apology to Apple will it spell the end of Apple spoofs?
It’s no big deal Apple. Jobs, you’ll still be selling the new one by the millions. Let up a bit will ya.
Check out the spoof after the jump. You’d better hurry, it might not be there long due to copyright and whatever.

What’s the truth behind the whole Gizmodo-iPhone HD/4G thing?
Every fact revealed about this whole lost iPhone story leads to another, and then there’s one that refutes the first fact and then another that proves the first one true but negates the latter two, and so on. The legality of the case is in the murkiest of water, to the point where you can almost choose your own conclusion based on what’s known–and not come out any less accurate than someone with the opposite conclusion.
At the rate things are going, we wouldn’t be surprised if no one ever finds out the truth – perhaps its so big that we can’t handle the truth. But whatever it is, we’ll let the controversy run its course and hope that when all is unveiled come June 7, we’ll also find out the truth.
But in the meantime, checkout this awesome infographic/flowchart that presents the full story, as it’s currently known.
Head on over to after the jump for the bigger picture.

After Letterman, it’s time for the Daily Show to take some pot shots at Apple and Jobs.
“Microsoft was supposed to be the evil one, but now Apple is busting down doors in Palo Alto while Bill Gates rids the world of mosquitoes. What the f**k is going on?” Asks Daily Show’s Jon Steward.
Has Apple gone too far with the whole iPhone HD/4G? Did they went “all Minority Report” on the Gizmodo guy?
Apple may have lost the plot but whatever it is, come Jun 7 when the new iPhone greets the world, everybody will probably want one ,
Check out the video after the jump. OMG it’s hilarious!

Things are getting really heavy at Gizmodo and Apple is getting overboard with this whole iPhone prototype thing.
Even Letterman is “a little sick and fedup at the Apple people“. As we follow the trial and wait for its outcome, here’s a video David Letterman dropping down his trademark “top 10″ list.
This time its about the “idiot who got drunk and drops the thing”. He files it under the category “who cares“.

With the police coming into the picture of the stolen/lost iPhone HD/4G saga, things are getting serious. Early speculations of the whole thing being a marketing ploy by Apple is quickly being difussed.
But that’s not stopping Scott Adam’s, the creator of Dilbert, from poking fun at the situation. Answering his readers’ questions on how fast can he whip out a comic and how far in advance does he actually schedule his comics’ publish date, Scott posted two totally unfinished first drafts strips on his blog about the scenario. You will never see these strips in the newspapers.

We’ve always like reading Dilbert’s comics. Sometimes we feel like he’s in the office.
