To celebrate the opening of its Seberang Jaya and 1 Borneo retail centres DiGi is offering free BlackBerrys with purchase of a BlackBerry Bold 9700 or a HTC Aria.
Specifically if you purchase a BlackBerry Bold 9700 with a 24 months contract, you’ll get another 9700 for free. On the same offer, if you purchase a HTC Aria with a 24 months contract you’ll get a BlackBerry Curve 8520 for free.
The promo material is very vague about the offer but our DiGi source tells us that the promo is very limited to 13 customers for both outlets combined at each outlet with the following breakdown:

The HTC Incredible S promo is finally out on DiGi’s website. Earlier on DiGi had given a teaser that it is offering a 1 day special deal this Saturday, 2nd April 2011 where you can get one for only RM599.
Just like its previous one day offers for BlackBerry Torch and BlackBerry Bold 9780, the HTC Incredible S is limited to first few hundred customers with 24 months DG Smart Plan. If you’re game for this offer, only 300 units nationwide are available at RM599 and they are limited to the following DiGi outlets:
The normal price for the HTC Incredible S is RM1999. On DG Smart Plan, it goes for RM1449 for 12 months or RM1199 for 24 months contract.
More details at DiGi’s Smart Plan promo site.

DiGi is doing a special promo on its DG Smart Plan with selected smart phones which they claim to be the world’s best. For this promo, your first 6 months subscription can be as low as RM23/month which is inclusive of the RM5 rebate if you sign up for the auto-billing.
Basically what you’ll get is RM40 rebate for the first 6 months of your subscription if you sign up for DG Smart Plan tied with a 24 months contract. This offer however is only applicable to HTC 7 Mozart, BlackBerry Bold 9780, BlackBerry Torch 9800 and HTC Desire HD.
After the 6 months, you will be charged RM63/month. The additional discounted rebates according to the T&C still apply. THis means if you plan to get 100% discount, you only need to spend RM22 on your voice calls, instead of the usual RM62.

DiGi is giving away a white HTC Desire worth RM1999 hourly from 12:01AM of 21st February till 2.00AM of 23rd February for eligible prepaid customers that top up a minimum of RM50 and above. As an instant reward, they are also giving free 15 minutes worth of DiGi to DiGi calls with the RM50 top up.
How it works, according to the T&C is that DiGi will pick the 1000th subscriber that top up for each hour. After that, DiGi will call the shortlisted subscriber between 1st – 31st March 2011. If the person fail to answer 3 calls, he/she will be disqualified. So looks like those who are eying for the prize must stick to their phones like glue during the month of March.
That’s not all, you would also require to answer a question which if you fail to do so, the opportunity will then passed to the 1001th user. There will be a total of 72 winners and only 1 subscriber is eligible throughout the contest. There’s also an exclusion however that Happy, Prepaid Internet and DiGi Prepaid Easy customers are not eligible for this contest.

Earlier on, DiGi made a little boo boo on their website when a contest T&C appeared on their CNY Prepaid promo. The T&C revealed a 888th caller contest of the hour where the 888th caller of each hour during 1st and 2nd day of Chinese New Year will stand a chance to win RM888 talktime for prepaid or 8888 Bonuslink points for postpaid.
A couple of hours later, the said T&C was replaced with the correct one. Initially we thought this was a CNY easter egg but @digi_telco was rather silent about our discovery. Now DiGi has finally revealed the contest just couple of days before CNY. So far the terms look the same as before.
For more information, check out DiGi’s 888th caller contest page on Facebook .

UPDATE: DiGi has updated the T&C. Not sure if the 888th caller contest is still on at this point. Considering they had a complete T&C, they might just announce it later.
We’re not sure if this is a deliberate easter egg or a botched up T&C but we got tipped that DiGi is doing a CNY 888th Caller Contest that’s open to all DiGi Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers. This was revealed upon clicking on the T&C link on the DiGi Prepaid CNY Promo page. The contest starts at 12AM on 3rd February until 11.59PM on 4th February.
To join, just make the 888th call of the hour to be shortlisted for the contest. DiGi will contact the respective shortlisted subscribers from 7th – 11th February to answer a simple question. There will be a maximum of 3 call attempts so make sure you answer them and not think its a prank like the iTunes lady. If the 888th caller is disqualified, the 889th caller will be the next subsitute.
So what prizes are they giving? Since it runs for 2 days, there are a total of 48 prepaid and 48 postpaid prizes to be won. For Prepaid, they will get RM888 worth of talktime while postpaid users get 8888 bonus link points. As expected the prizes will be distributed across a period of 8 months starting from March if you win.
So looks like DiGi does have something interesting up their sleeves this CNY. Thanks to the commenter “digi” for tipping us in the DiGi Prepaid CNY Promo post!

This coming Chinese New Year, DiGi is doing a top-up promotion for prepaid where top ups of RM30 from 25-27 January 2011 will get Free 28 DiGi to DiGi SMS and 18 minutes of DiGi to DiGi talktime. Each prepaid user is limited to redeem maximum of 5 times and the free SMS and calls won’t be credited immediately. According to DiGi, it will only be paid out by February 2011.
Surprisingly unlike its previous festive promo, there’s nothing for postpaid customers right now. We personally feel that DiGi’s festive promotion of giving free calls within the same network is getting dry right now and they should consider doing something more exciting for the next one.
UPDATE: Looks like DiGi had something interesting planned out for CNY. Check out their 888th caller contest.

In the same festive tradition by DiGi, they are doing another round of special promo for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers this Christmas. For prepaid customers, they are giving RM2 extra talktime for Free when you use more than RM10 worth of talktime. This runs for 3 days only from 21-23 December and it is not only for normal DiGi prepaid subscribers. However don’t expect your credit to come in immediately as payout only happens 28th-30th December with a maximum of RM2 per number. This is quite a disappointment compared to its previous offers for Hari Raya and Deepavali.
For postpaid, they are offering 30% rebate for DiGi to DiGi calls made from 9AM-9PM on Christmas day. The only condition is that you’ll need to activate on or before Christmas Eve (24th December) by SMS XMAS to 22288. The 30% rebate will only be reflected in your next bill. You can start opting in by SMS starting from tomorrow morning.

UPDATE: The RM999 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 seems to be a September promo.
DiGi is doing a BlackBerry Promo roadshow this weekend at Mid Valley Megamall (East Atrium) and Sungai Wang (Concourse). As usual, it is the same DG Smart Plan BlackBerry offer where you get to enjoy RM28/month subscription for the first 6 months, which is normally charged at RM68/month for DG Smart Plan.
Now the deal is even sweeter as the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now offered for RM999, which is an extra RM200 off from the previous promo. The price of the Curve 8520 however is still maintained at RM459. As usual, these prices are expected to be tied with a 24 months contract.
If you want to avoid the MidValley and Sungai Wang areas over the weekend, DiGi also tweeted that the offer is also extended at these selected outlets.
Sadly, no Curve 3G yet from DiGi. If the Bold 9700 and Curve 8520 is not what you’re looking for, you probably want to head to The Curve tomorrow for Celcom’s RM388 BlackBerry Curve 3G promotion.

DiGi is throwing a special deal on Blackberry Bold and Curve which is actually a repeat of what was offered at PC Fair II 2010.
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 can be yours for only RM1199 or the BlackBerry Curve 8520 for only RM459. These prices are applicable with a 24 month contract on DG Smart Plan. Just like the PC Fair promo, the first 6 months subscription is offered at RM28/month instead of the usual RM68/month.
So how much do you save? From the offer, you’ll save additional RM100 from the usual DG Smart Plan 24 months BlackBerry contract price. On top of that, you save a further RM40x6 months off your subscription. That’s a total of RM340 savings.
If you missed the PC Fair Offer, this is your chance again but you would need to catch them at their roadshow at Lowyat Plaza until 29th August.
On their Facebook page, the offer is offered at:
1. Lowyat Plaza Boulevard
2. Sungai Wang Plaza (DiGi Specialised Store)
3. Lowyat Plaza Concourse
4. Carrefour Kepong
