DiGi‘s got a special offer for all you HTC fans out there. The DG Smart Plan 88 is available for a limited time and comes with 5GB data usage a month. The catch is you have to sign-up for a 24-months contract and purchase a HTC phone which is not too bad considering for an addition RM20 a month over the normal DG Smart Plan 68 — which offers 3GB data usage a month — you get 2GB a month extra. The HTC phone subsidies are decent to.
The offer is valid at the following DiGi centre only and is valid from 11 to 31 July 2011
DiGi Retail Centre, Seberang Jaya
DiGi Retail Centre, Pulau Tikus
DiGi Retail Centre, Ipoh
DiGi tells us that they could include other centres in the future but this has not be confirmed.
Our only concern with DiGi is not the plan but the state of its network. Complains on Twitter of about DiGi’s sporadic data and BIS performance have been too common of late and it looks like things are not letting up. Let’s not forget that there’s also the incident where DiGI’s website was done for more than a few days last month. More worrying is that DiGi has yet to fully address these issues. Getting an explanation on what is going on proved to be even more difficult.
