Earlier on, DiGi made a little boo boo on their website when a contest T&C appeared on their CNY Prepaid promo. The T&C revealed a 888th caller contest of the hour where the 888th caller of each hour during 1st and 2nd day of Chinese New Year will stand a chance to win RM888 talktime for prepaid or 8888 Bonuslink points for postpaid.
A couple of hours later, the said T&C was replaced with the correct one. Initially we thought this was a CNY easter egg but @digi_telco was rather silent about our discovery. Now DiGi has finally revealed the contest just couple of days before CNY. So far the terms look the same as before.
For more information, check out DiGi’s 888th caller contest page on Facebook .

UPDATE: DiGi has updated the T&C. Not sure if the 888th caller contest is still on at this point. Considering they had a complete T&C, they might just announce it later.
We’re not sure if this is a deliberate easter egg or a botched up T&C but we got tipped that DiGi is doing a CNY 888th Caller Contest that’s open to all DiGi Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers. This was revealed upon clicking on the T&C link on the DiGi Prepaid CNY Promo page. The contest starts at 12AM on 3rd February until 11.59PM on 4th February.
To join, just make the 888th call of the hour to be shortlisted for the contest. DiGi will contact the respective shortlisted subscribers from 7th – 11th February to answer a simple question. There will be a maximum of 3 call attempts so make sure you answer them and not think its a prank like the iTunes lady. If the 888th caller is disqualified, the 889th caller will be the next subsitute.
So what prizes are they giving? Since it runs for 2 days, there are a total of 48 prepaid and 48 postpaid prizes to be won. For Prepaid, they will get RM888 worth of talktime while postpaid users get 8888 bonus link points. As expected the prizes will be distributed across a period of 8 months starting from March if you win.
So looks like DiGi does have something interesting up their sleeves this CNY. Thanks to the commenter “digi” for tipping us in the DiGi Prepaid CNY Promo post!

Looks like DiGi is on a HTC Aria disposing spree. Yesterday they had a HTC Aria a day contest that’s given out for lucky users that watch YouTube videos and now they kicked start another one involving MMS.
The MMS Contest appears to run on a weekly basis with “Pranks” as this week’s theme. To join, take a pic that fits the theme and MMS it to 22266. There will be a HTC Aria to give out each weekly round and 10 DiGi to DiGi MMS for every 50th participant.
More info on the contest at their Facebook page here.

DiGi is running an interesting contest where participants have to watch as many movies as they can for 24 hours straight and the person who lasts the longest wins.
Not much detail is being offered on the contest promotion site except that the contest is open to all DiGi subscribers for free and that there RM2,500 cash prize up for grabs.
Contest period is November 6 and 7. There’s only 100 seats allocated for each registration day and registration will be on the November 4 and 5 (6pm to 9pm) at MBO Cinema Entrance, Level 2, The Spring Mall, Kuching. Yes, that’s in Sarawak, the other side of Malaysia

Just like it says on the title, Malaysia’s most aggressive prepaid mobile operator, TuneTalk is running a contest to drive top up sales for its prepaid service. All you need to do is top up a minimum of RM30 and stand a chance to win AirAsia E-Vouchers worth RM1000.
But before you scramble to get yourself a TuneTalk prepaid, let it be known that there is a whole heap of terms and conditions the we recommend you read first. One of the things worth noting is that the contest is driven by radio stations, so to be in the running you got to listen to either ERA.FM on 103.3 in Klang Valley) or THR Raaga. (on 99.3 in Klang Valley)
