Just look at that. These people are not coming by the droves for the latest iDevice they are in fact standing in line to get the latest China-made Android device — the Meizu M9. Yeap, we can’t believe it either but it is definitely an awesome sight.

Unlike Apple’s usual limit of two or three purchases per customer at launch of a hot device, Miezu retailers set no such limit. All these people standing in line are allowed to but as many Meizu M9s as they like.

The Meizu M9 runs a skinned Android 2.2 powered by a 1GHz processor. It also features a 3.5-inch 960×640 using Sharp’s ASV display technology which reported offers performance and clarity that rivals the iPhone 4‘s Retina Display which has the same pixel count.

Wonder if CSL will be able to launch something that will garner the same level of fandom here in Malaysia?

May this be a lesson to all of you out there, using your mobile phone in the toilet is very dangerous.

This man from Jiangsu Province in China was so desperate to get back his mobile phone that he accidentally dropped into a toilet bowl that he ignored the very obvious fact that putting his hand all the way up to his armpit into a toilet bowl is indescribably disgusting. Making matters worse, his hand got stuck and had to get emergency services to take him out of the revoltingly messy situation.

Even if he does manage to scoop out his phone after all this, getting it cleaned and making sure all the crap has been removed to be usable again would render the phone useless (on the account that phones and water don’t mix). So it begs the question, what the hell was he thinking?

It has been quite a while since we heard from U Mobile. Today, they have launched a promo on its IDD Services called IDD Bonanza.

While other telco players have been pushing hard on special rates for selected IDD country, it is obvious that U Mobile should join the bandwagon as well.  At the moment, they are having promotion for 5 selected Asian countries namely China, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and India.

The promo rate of 0.7 per second is equivalent to 42 sen/minute for both fixed and mobile lines.
