Apple’s popular iPad is gettings its biggest update yet with the release of iOS 11 later this year. The latest version will bring more productivity features which could turn the iPad closer to a laptop replacement device.

When the iPad Pro was introduced, Tim Cook has mentioned that it could replace a laptop for a lot of people. However, if you take away the optional keyboard and Apple Pencil, it’s still primarily a consumption device.

Apple has just updated its high-end tablet offering with its new 2nd generation iPad Pro. Like the current version, it also comes in two sizes and the smallest one now comes with a 10.5″ display. Apart from the usual hardware upgrades, the new iPad Pro also features the most advanced display with ProMotion.
Apple’s WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) event is happening next month where they would reveal its latest iteration for MacOS, iOS, WatchOS and tvOS. Apart from software, the Cupertino-based company could be launching a brand new iPad that would replace its current iPad Pro.
When Apple introduced its new 9.7″ iPad, they had also discontinued its ageing iPad mini 2 which is formerly known as the iPad mini with Retina Display. This makes the iPad mini 4 its sole surviving compact tablet and it comes only with a single 128GB option.
Apart from introducing the red iPhone 7 and larger iPhone SE storage options, Apple has also introduced its new iPad in Malaysia. This replaces their 2-year-old iPad Air 2 and it’s their most affordable 9.7″ iPad right now.
Apple is being sued by one of their customers over the company’s AppleCare+ plan. The lawsuit revolves around the fact that Apple says that the replacement device a customer receive under the AppleCare+ Plan is “equivalent to new in performance and reliability”.
The plaintiff, claims otherwise.
