I don’t think people would disagree with me when I say that the wearable market isn’t in the best shape. Just look at Pebble. Or Fitbit. Even Moto‘s ditched the smart wearable market because the demand just isn’t there.
The only people still making smartwatches are Huawei, Samsung and Apple, the latter two of which leverage their existing ecosystem. Fitbit’s still got their strong community, but even then, the company is in dire straits.
Then we’ve got Acer, who, out of all the things I thought they would launch, launched a wearable. It’s called the Leap Ware and when I saw it, the biggest question that popped up in my head was: Why?
The Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ will be available in Malaysia beginning next Friday, 5th May 2017. If you have missed the earlier Galaxy S8 pre-order promotion, Samsung Malaysia is offering additional freebies and discount promos during their 3-day roadshows.

I’m a sucker for thin yet powerful devices. Super thin phones? My jam. Thin ultrabooks? Also my jam. Thin gaming laptops? Absolutely my jam. But thin and powerful devices often come with big compromises, especially when it comes to thermals.
So, imagine my excitement when Acer announced their brand new Predator Triton 700 gaming laptop that’s less than 2cm thick yet supposedly doesn’t suffer from thermal throttling.
Acer has just announced the Holo 360, their first connected 360 camera that’s powered by Android. Unlike other 360 cameras in the market, the Holo 360 can work standalone and it even allows you to share your 360 content without requiring a PC or a smartphone.

If you’re a TM Unifi subscriber and have yet to received your “surprise” yet, you’re not alone. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has finally arrived in Malaysia. This is the successor of the original Mi Note and it’s currently their top of the line phablet with a dual-curved display.
UPDATE: The LG G6 officially goes on sale in Malaysia on the first week of May.
The LG G6 is one of the most interesting flagships to be announced at MWC 2017. It has a large 5.7″ QuadHD+ display in a 18:9 aspect ratio which gives it a small phone feel despite having a larger phablet sized display.
If you’ve been eyeing for this device, it looks like you won’t need to wait too long before it hits the Malaysian market officially.
