Forgot to logout your Netflix account on other TV and devices? Netflix now has a solution

Before Netflix starts cracking down on password sharing, the video streaming platform has introduced a new feature to help you boot out active Netflix sign-ins on various devices. This comes ahead of the year-end holiday season when more users are expected to travel and would likely sign in to their Netflix account while at a Hotel, Airbnb or at a friend’s or relative’s place.

If you’ve forgotten to log out from smartphones, tablets or TVs that don’t belong to you, Netflix has rolled out a new feature for users to manage their account access on different devices. According to Netflix, the feature is being rolled out to all users worldwide and it is accessible under Account Settings on the web, iOS and Android.

From the Account settings page, you can “sign out of all devices” with one click or you can view the list of individual devices under “Manage Access and Devices”. From this sub-page, you can view all devices that has your account logged in, the specific user, the last watched date and time, the location and IP address. If you want to revoke access, simply click on the “Sign out” button.

Password sharing is seen as a huge problem for Netflix and it has started introducing new features to help password sharers “move out” and pay for their own Netflix accounts. According to Netflix, an account can be shared with people who live together with you in a single household. Those who do not live in your household will need to use their own account to watch Netflix.

Besides introducing a new ad-supported plan in select countries and upgrading its Basic plan from SD to HD 720p video streaming quality, Netflix has introduced a Profile Transfer feature to make it easier sub-Family account users to retain their current personalised recommendations, viewing history, watch list and settings when they get their own account.

Netflix plans currently start from RM17/month for a mobile-only SD 480p plan and RM35/month for a basic plan which can also be watched on your computer and TV. If you want even higher quality streaming and the ability to share with other household members, the standard plan costs RM45/month and it offers HD 1080p quality as well as the ability to stream on two concurrent devices. Meanwhile, the highest Premium plan offers 4K HDR quality streaming costs RM55/month and works with four devices at the same time.
