AirAsia Free WiFi

The next time you fly AirAsia, you might be able to keep in touch at over 10,000 feet in the air for free. This free WiFi promo is applicable to all AirAsia BIG members that fly on ROKKI-enabled flights.

To redeem this Free WiFi offer, all you’ll need to do is connect to an AirAsia ROKKI hotspot during your flight and login with your BIG account at rokki.com. Take note that AirAsia is only providing 2MB of data which is meant for WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE, KakaoTalk and Viber.

If you need more, you can purchase 3MB of data at RM8 or 10MB of data for RM17. There’s also a larger 50MB option for RM68. According to their FAQ, ROKKI’s WiFi service is capable of providing speeds of up to 1.33Mbps and the actual performance is dependent on how many users are connected on the same flight and its satellite connection.

For those who don’t plan to use it for internet connectivity, the ROKKI WiFi connection also allows you to enjoy free in-flight entertainment via your mobile web browser. To maximise your usage, it is recommended that you disable auto-updates and auto-downloads of media on your instant messaging app.

According to AirAsia, there are 44 ROKKI-enabled aircraft and you can check if your AK flight is covered here. For more info, you can check out ROKKI’s website.
