The Samsung Galaxy S9+ isn’t launched yet and there’s already a fake copy

As Samsung prepares to launch its upcoming Galaxy S9/S9+, there’s already a knock-off version spotted in the wild. In terms of design, it looks quite similar to the leaked renders and the gullible ones might be fooled into believing that this is the real deal.

At the front, it comes with an “Infinity Display” and the phone looks thicker than usual. Even the forehead and chin are much thicker than the current Galaxy S8/S8+ series. Over at the rear, the fake Galaxy S9+ features a redesigned vertical dual-camera bump with a fingerprint sensor placed right underneath.

In terms of software, it even tries to copy Samsung’s UI. The dead giveaway is the FM Radio and Heart Rate app which isn’t available on legit Samsung flagship devices.

This isn’t the first time a Samsung flagship gets cloned. Last year, a fake Galaxy S8 was spotted weeks before the actual device was officially announced. If someone offers you the latest flagship smartphone at a price that’s too good to be true, it probably is.
