UPDATE: The iPhone X goes on sale in Malaysia starting 24 November 2017.

For those who don’t want to buy an iPhone that looks the same as its predecessor, the iPhone X is the phone most people with deep pockets would look forward to. Apple Malaysia has finally revealed the official Malaysian pricing for the iPhone X and it’s definitely more than RM5,000.

According to the Apple online store, the iPhone X with 64GB storage is going for RM5,149 while the higher 256GB model is going for RM5,899. There are only two colour options – Silver and Space Grey.

At the moment, there are no availability dates for the iPhone X in Malaysia but we do know it will be rolling out in first wave countries beginning 3 November. If you want it, you could probably head over to Singapore early next month.

To refresh your memory, the iPhone X is Apple’s take on an all-screen smartphone. It has a 5.8″ Super Retina Display that stretches 2436×1125 pixels edge to edge. For imaging, it has 12MP dual cameras with the main shooter having a f/1.8 aperture while the second lens is f/2.4. Like the Galaxy Note8, both cameras have OIS for sharper 2X Optical Zoom. For the first time, Apple has removed its iconic home button in favour for its new Face ID unlocking. You can learn more in our announcement post.

What do you think? If you’re looking for a new iPhone, would you go for the iPhone 8 or would you wait for the iPhone X (pronounced as 10)? To recap, the iPhone 8 is priced from RM3,649 while the 8 Plus is priced from RM4,149.

Alternatively, you could consider other affordable options which starts from RM1,499.

Thanks Marcus for the tip!
